Barcook's Bakery

I know it has been AGES since I last blogged over here at jiapabuay. Terribly sorry for the inactivity because I was busy with many commitments such as study, taekwondo, driving (which I failed for the first time- anyone has any tips?) and etc etc etc. The list just carries on, so I shan't yada yada too much on them.

However, what made me came out from "hibernation" is this FANTASTIC bun (it's the BEST bread!!) over at Hong Lim Food Complex.

Since the whole place looks pretty old, This bakery stall stands out because even before you reach the small little bakery, the aroma of the buns already captivates you to walk towards it. It sure took us some time to reach Blk 531 #01-54 Hong Lim Complex but everything is worth the trouble once you sink your teeth into the Mexican Cheese Bun (topped with raisins)!

After buying the bread, which came out PIPING HOT, I couldn't resist it any longer, so I didn't manage to take any pictures of it before biting into the wonderful delight!

The dough was soft and silky, yet they are also generous with the amount of cheese! You could taste the wonderous texture of the cheese right from the first bite!

And guess what??

The cheese buns were ALL SOLD OUT after we wanted to queue again for our 2nd serving! =(
Thankfully we managed to get hold of the bun each before letting this simple $1.30 delicacy go.

Rating?
4.9/5!!!

Why not 5? Because I can't get another piece of this bread again! Okies I was just kidding, probably it's a little, i mean a little, too hot when I ate it. The cheese that melted in my mouth almost burn my tongue but thankfully it didn't=p

Voted best bread ever!^^

I hope they don't raise the price because it's really cheap and GREAT!

Bread-li-cious!
