Bedok has always been famous for it's good food in this small little hawker centre. Here I'm just going to introduce 2 very tasty desserts which I've tried over there (which I will be going there AGAIN- to try their famous chicken rice!).
After a hot day out from playing beach volleyball at nearby East Coast Park, why not take bus 196 or 16 back to Bedok interchange for a bowl of either refreshing hot/cold white fungus with red dates. White fungus supposedly helps to "cool" the body down especially if you've been eating up on heaty snacks (hint- christmas and chinese new year are coming!).

They also sell the all famous Selegie tao huey but sadly, this is a disappointment compared to the one over at Rochor road (opposite Parklane). The one over there operates till about 12am and the standard there receives a 4/5 whereas the one here barely just passes because it's WAY too bland and WAY too soft such that it really crumbles and smashes and melts and blah blah.. basically like disintegrates in your mouth. Urgg.. Give this a miss but don't let this affect you to try the one over at Rochor!
Another delight over here is the kuey pai tee (which I've mentioned before in my previous post in Chinatown- it's the same branch!) which is priced at $3 for a box of 5!
Suffed inside this delightable cups are the ingredients used to make popiah. However, what's different is just what is used to hold the ingredients. For the popiahs, it's the thin layer of skins whereas for this, it's the really deep fried crispy cups which makes it really crunchy and enjoyable to eat along with the soft and tasty vegetables + eggs + chilli + peanut + sweet sauce!
A word of caution though, this dish taste much better if you were to eat it once it's prepared. I think it'll taste pretty bad if you were to take away this delight because the cup will lose it's crispy-ness and you'll be better off eating popiah from this stall rather than this.
Totally deserves a 4.5/5!
Bedok is also famous for it's chiekn rice, mutton soup, claypot porridge etc. Do give this place a try if you're going to head towards east coast or perhaps, coming back from a day of activities over there=)
